Functional Description:
The surface vehicle radio set is a battery operated portable terminal which provides encrypted communications with the net control station (ncs) an/tsq-158a and an/tsq-158b, via uhf skywave electromagnetic radiation to determine the precise location of a user. The surface vehicle radio set also communicates with host devices via an interface providing direct user to user communication. The eplrs surface vehicle radio set can also be powered from 120 vac, or 50 or 60 hz power. A manpack kit is provided for dismounting.
