Functional Description:
The geospatial intelligence workstation (gws) is an assemblage of commerical-off-the-shelf components consisting of workstations, plotters, scanners and peripherals used to produce geospatial products, i.E. Maps, overlays, graphic images using commercial and national imagery, and other data sources. The system is used in either an office environment or a tactical environment, using the tactical operations center lan for communications and the tactical operations grid for power. The gws is transported in transit cases designed to protect the equipment during movement and use.
